Description
You will reach the monument on your drive from Tblisi to Kazbegi, a few kilometers before the Jvari pass. It is a tourist attraction with car park and people selling food and memorabilia. There is a large observation platform and a smaller one near the car park. Look up for migrating birds like Vepsevåk, Balkanhauk, Svartglente or local Kongeørn, Alpeseiler or Ravn. On the rocks below you can see species like Alpekråke, Alpekaie, Alpejernspurv, Murkryper and Ringtrost. Check the grassland for Vannpiplerke and Rødpanneirisk.
