Description

Roselière du Charnier is a marsh area mainly covered with reed beds and with numerous canals and ponds. Reed areas can be difficult for birding but this area has many paths, and especially micro-reliefs that allow you to observe above the reeds. I have never observed so many Sivhauk (visit in January-February 2022), sometimes 3 at the same time within a radius of a few hundred meters. But also Knoppsvane, Flamingo and Bronseibis. Other birds that are often observed in the area are Trostesanger, Skjeggmeis, Sultanhøne, Stylteløper, Skjestork, Cistussanger, Natthegre, Purpurhegre, Topphegre and Vannrikse.
