Le Champ Virlois is interesting for several reedbed species, including Blåstrupe, Trostesanger, Sivsanger, Dvergrørdrum, Vannrikse and Sivhauk. Pungmeis has been spotted in stopover and crakes are possible.
In the surrounding forests Dompap, Lerkefalk, Løvsanger and Svartglente are quite easy to see. Triel and Kvinand can be found at the surrounding gravel pits.
