Description

The Grand Etang de Pontoux houses an important nesting colony of Natthegre as well as Purpurhegre, Silkehegre, Sivhauk and Trostesanger. The pond is also an interesting site to look for migratory birds (ducks and shorebirds).

Français: Etang de 27 hectares situé à proximité de la rivière du Doubs et abritant une importante héronnière observable depuis un affût aménagé. L'étang abrite une importante colonie nicheuse de Natthegre ainsi que Purpurhegre Silkehegre Sivhauk Trostesanger ... C'est aussi un site intéressant pour les haltes migratoires (canards et limicoles)
