Description
Etang du Gallardon is a lake located between the river Seine and the town of Verneuil-sur-Seine. Among the more common birds, you will see manyKanadagås, Knoppsvane, Stokkand, Sivhøne, Isfugl and Vintererle year-round.
During the spring, you will be welcomed with Makrellterne, Låvesvale, Taksvale, Tårnseiler and many other singers. During migrations, you will occasionally find shorebirds on the gravel edges of the lake. Most common will be Strandsnipe, Skogsnipe and Vipe. But, if you are lucky, a Myrsnipe or a Rødstilk will await you ! Winter is the most interesting season for the site, as many ducks and other laridae are coming there. Among the most common figure the Skjeand, Snadderand, Krikkand, Taffeland, Toppand, Fiskemåke and Dvergdykker. But, there are yearly reports of much rarer birds ! Horndykker, Siland, loons, Kvinand have been seen a few times in the last decade.

Access
Etang du Gallardon is located between the town of Verneuil-sur-Seine and the river Seine. From the A13, take the 8th exit and follow the "Verneuil-sur-Seine" signs. You can park in front of the lake, there is a public and free parking lot.
