Located in a Natura 2000 zone, this site constitutes one of the last bocage complexes in the Saône Valley in Burgundy.
Bocage et Prairies d'Ouroux-sur-Saône is made up of several interesting habitats for birds. The bocage made up mainly of old pollarded ash trees is home to Møller and Tornsanger. There you also find Pirol, Gjøk and Tornskate. Some plots are managed in a way that they are an ideal habitat for Gresshoppesanger. In the meadows you can find the classic species of the Saône Valley such as Storspove, Buskskvett and more recently Cistussanger.

Français: Situé en zone Natura 2000, ce site constitue l'un des derniers ensemble bocager du val de Saône en Bourgogne. Le site est composé de plusieurs habitats intéressants pour les oiseaux. Le bocage constitué principalement de vieux frêne têtard abrite la Møller ou encore la Tornsanger. On y retrouve également le Pirol, le Gjøk ou bien la Tornskate. Certaines parcelles sont gérées en mégaphorbaies qui constitue un habitat idéal pour la Gresshoppesanger. Dans les prairies on retrouve les espèces classiques du val de Saône comme le Storspove, le Buskskvett ou plus récemment la Cistussanger.
Bocage et Prairies d'Ouroux-sur-Saône is located between the town of Ouroux-sur-Saône and the river Saône. The site is accessed either through the village of Marnay or through Ouroux-sur-Saône via the D6. Click on the P in the map for directions. The circular route indicated on the map is about 1 km.
