Description
The Bruksviken area is an important water bird area where many waterfowl nest during the summer. Migrating birds also like to rest here which offers a chance to spot a wide variety of birds in the area. Kanadagås, Hvitkinngås, Grågås, Knoppsvane, Sangsvane, Krikkand and Gråhegre can be seen during migration season and sometimes waders like Lappspove, Storspove and Sotsnipe stop by too. Egretthegre and Svømmesnipe have been sighted here a few times as well. During summer months there are cows grazing among the reeds as part of a program to keep the bay area open for birdlife.
