Description

The former sand pit Pískovna Dobříň is an interesting site for birdwatching. Sand is not mined here now. The lake complex is interesting especially during migration in spring and autumn. It is also an important regional wintering ground. Birds that can be spotted include Grågås, Rødhodeand, Taffeland, Makrellterne, Dverglo, Hettemåke, Kaspimåke, Sørnattergal, Trostesanger, Pirol, Sivhauk and Sandsvale. In winter you can observe Kvinand and Laksand.

Access

Pískovna Dobříň is located directly east of the village of Dobříň. You can park on the embankment or walk from Dobříň train station (1).
