Description
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare Skjeggmeis and there are nesting some other rare birds like Dvergrørdrum , Blåstrupe and Rosenfink. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example Steinskvett , Sumpsanger , Svartehavsmåke , Fiskeørn and sometimes even Vannsanger and Tamarisksanger.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like Myrsnipe , Brushane , Dvergsnipe , Tundrasnipe , Sotsnipe , Grønnstilk and some other. Also you can observe Myrrikse or Vannrikse.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching Skjeggmeis and if you are lucky you can see wintering Rørdrum or Bergirisk .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: Svømmesnipe , Steinvender , Tereksnipe , Svarthalespove , Polarsnipe , Steppemåke , Splitterne , Rødnebbterne , Amursvale , Steppehauk , Sabinemåke , Vannsanger , Tamarisksanger and many others.

Access
The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
