A forest with old beech trees for typical forest species such as Spettmeis, Kortklotrekryper and various woodpeckers.
The Hasseltbos is a forest with undergrowth and with older trees such as beech. This makes the forest attractive to typical forest birds such as Spettmeis, Kortklotrekryper, Flaggspett and even Mellomspett can be admired there. There is a small piece of coniferous wood where you can hear and see Fuglekonge and Rødtoppfuglekonge. The bushes are attractive to Munk, Bokfink and Sørnattergal (not annually). And including of course Musvåk.

The Hasseltbos is located north of Geraardsbergen near the village of Ophasselt. Parking is possible along the public road Brambroek. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 2 km.
