This area consists of a footpath along the course of the Tuxer Bach. It is the place to see Fossekall in large numbers.
The trail runs between the wooded mountain slopes of the Tuxer Alps and the fast-flowing Tuxer Bach. It is a hilly terrain that is easily accessible in both summer and winter. Because the trail is on the shady side of the mountain, it's covered in snow well into spring. The Fossekall finds a tailor-made habitat in the fast-flowing Tuxer Bach and dozens of them can be seen in the course of the Tuxer Bach. In addition, this area offers the opportunity to see numerous forest birds, which are particularly good to see in winter. For example: Svartmeis, Dompap, Grønnfink, Stillits and Nøttekråke.
From Mayrhofen follow the B169 and turn right onto the state road in the direction of Finkenberg, Vorderlanersbach, Lanersbach, Juns. In Vorderlanersbach you can park behind the Familienhotel Testerhof, Vorderlanersbach 286, and then hike upstream towards Juns. It is also possible to continue to Juns, where you can park at Hotel Eden, Juns 610. From there you walk downstream to Vorderlanersbach. There is a bus connection between the two car parks. The hike is about 6 km long, one way.
