This walk is a 'go-to' location for Scrubtit and is also good for a number of other rainforest birds such as Bassian Thrush and Pink Robin.

Access
From Hobart take Huon Road to Fern Glade (at Mount Wellington foothills) and park at the small formal parking area on the right hand side of the road, immediately before the village. Press P on the map to access Google mapping.

You can start the walk from the Fern Tree township or the Fern Glade car park, which offers more parking spaces. Accessible by bus or car, the suburb of Fern Tree in Hobart serves as a convenient starting point. Be aware that snowfalls can occur in Wellington Park at any time of the year, and the track can become slippery when covered in snow and ice.
