Description
In the village of Lori Berd are the remains of an ancient fortress located on the left bank of the Dzoraget River, which flows through a deep canyon. The fortress is surrounded by fields and meadows. There aren’t many birds here, but some species can be observed quite well. It’s a nice scenic spot, so if you’re passing by, it’s worth stopping by.

The entrance ticket to the fortress costs around 3 dollars. However, if you're only interested in birds and not ancient Armenian history, you can skip buying a ticket and not enter the fortress itself. All the birds can be spotted in the meadow next to the fortress and along the river, and the Klippespettmeis and the Steinskvett will be singing on the walls near the gate.
