Description
Near the village of Khndzoresk is one of Armenia’s historical landmarks. The ancient cave city is notable for being home to a colony of Gåsegribb, which can be observed here almost year-round. However, the best time to visit is in May, when the chicks are perched on the rocks near their nests. Other vultures, such as Munkegribb and Åtselgribb can also be found here.
After reaching Khndzoresk, you can walk through the surrounding fields and then cross the gorge via a suspension bridge to reach the ancient city. Access to the site is free of charge.
