Southern part of the Lesser Prespa Lake on the border of Albania and Greece.
This southern part of the Lesser Prespa Lake is an extended wetland area characterized by shallow depth and vast reed thickets. The area is surrounded by reliefs that slightly exceed 1000m above sea level with the presence of shrubby vegetation and meadows. In this part of the lake there are two small villages where the main activity is sheep farming. Among the birds you can observe are Dvergskarv, Sivhauk, Trostesanger, Topphegre, Dvergrørdrum, Silkehegre, Hvitpelikan and Krøllpelikan.
The routes to Lesser Prespa Lake start from the small town of Buzliqen or from the Shyec side and can both be reached by car. For birding I recommend following the two paths that run along the lake, there are no facilities along the route, I recommend stocking up on food and water in the nearby town of Bilisht.
