Beschrijving

Located on the moorland fringe just 5 miles west of Sheffield, over 200 species have been recorded at this site, which is largely due to the wide range of habitats in a relatively small area. This includes wildfowl, raptors, waders and gulls, as well as thousands of visible migrants during the autumn. Nearly 80 species have also been confirmed to breed in the immediate vicinity, including up to ten species of wader and local specialities such as Smelleken, Nachtzwaluw, Roodborsttapuit, Vuurgoudhaan and Kruisbek.
