The beautiful cliff faces of this island form great locations for colonies of many different birds, including Alpenkraai, Noordse Stormvogel, Alk, Noordse Pijlstormvogel, Zeekoet, Jan-van-gent, Slechtvalk and Torenvalk, with grey seals populating some of the beaches. Many of these can be observed quite well from both the island itself or from the water. Other birds, such as Steenuil and Tapuit, are also present on the island.
