Beschrijving
This is a favourite place with birders in Scotland. In Spring and early Summer there are Parelduiker on the loch and Visarend fish here. In the surrounding area there are both Schots sneeuwhoen and Roodborsttapuit, assorted raptors, and Stormmeeuw breed here in summer. You may also see Wulp and Kievit. There are some Mountain Hare present in Winter.

Access by Car or Bike. Easy to find from Carrbridge / Grantown on Spey / Inverness. For parking there are several pull-ins off the road. Do not block passing places or entrances.
Park the car, and there are tracks that can can be followed on foot, but no circular route.
