Beschrijving

Golden Acre Park has many varieties of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. A variety of birds can be seen at Golden Acre Park and through the neighbouring Breary Marsh, including waterfowl, migrant warblers, Boomklever, Waterhoen, Meerkoet, Kuifeend and Fuut. The Adel Dam nature reserve, owned by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, is adjacent to the eastern side of the park. This little wetland nature reserve has two bird hides and is popular with woodpeckers and Mandarijneend. At the lake you have a big chance on seeing the resident IJsvogel.
