Stone Point offers a good vantage point over the River Colne with species such as Middelste Zaagbek flying in and out of the Estuary. In the bushes and muddy areas you can find Roodborsttapuit, Rietgors and Oeverpieper during the winter and if you are lucky Sneeuwgors. The saltmarsh and beach are good places to watch Rotgans, Drieteenstrandloper, Kanoet, Bonte Strandloper, Bontbekplevier, Tureluur, Kluut, Wulp, Zilverplevier, Grutto and Rosse Grutto at close range during the winter. The area can be busy with visitors so early or late visits can be productive.
