Beschrijving

The Croft Pascoe Pool is a shallow wetland in The Lizard National Nature Reserve. The huge Lizard NNR stretches across 2,000 hectares of the Lizard peninsula. The mild oceanic climate means that area is wet for much of the year. The heathland and temporary ponds are of international importance. Among the birds you can spot in the area are Roodborsttapuit, Graspieper, Kneu, Putter, Fitis and Watersnip.

Toegang

The Lizard peninsula is accessed via the A3083 (from the A394) and the B3293. By bus: a bus service runs from Helston to Lizard village and St Keverne. Croft Pascoe Pool is located on the road that crosses the heart of Lizard NNR and therefore easy accessible. You can park on the side of the road. Click on the P in the map for directions. The whole reserve is Open Access land – which means you are welcome to explore. But be aware that the terrain can be rough and wet away from the main tracks and paths so wear sturdy shoes.
