Blakeney Point is a National Nature Reserve and AONB. Thriving nesting site for Visdief, Noordse Stern, Grote Stern and Dwergstern. Also Kokmeeuw and occasional Zwartkopmeeuw. Common and grey seals breed. Winter wildfowl such as Eider, Zwarte Zee-eend and Kleine Rietgans. And rare passage autumn migrants such as Klapekster, Grote Pieper, Bladkoning and Sperwergrasmus. Rietzanger and Kleine Karekiet in the reed beds.

Parking at Cley for those attempting the long difficult walk on shifting shingle to the point. NB the Visitor Centre is currently closed. Park at Morton Quay or Blakeney Quay for boat trips. Check tide times as the car park can get flooded, also boats only run 4 hours either side of high tide. See the link to the tides table below.
