Around the Yedikır Dam, there is a plain where the wintering Velduil population occurs. Also, the wintering Kolgans flocks occur around the dam. Beside, the Jufferkraanvogel breeds close to the dam which is the modern breeding couple of the species in Turkey. Griel can be seen in the northern part of the lake in the flat dusty areas. You can see Kleine Plevier, Zeearend, Kwartel, Witoogeend, Tafeleend and many more. Also, this area always has a possibility to see rare species there such as Brandgans which is the second record for Turkey. Oehoe can be seen there which would be an uncommon record of the species. Therefore, it is obvious that you should go to the dam area to do birdwatching if you can.
