Van Castle Marshes is a small wetland which is close to the Van Castle. This castle, Tuşba Castle, is an impressive historical place if you are there. You can combine birding and a visit of this historical place. Among the birds you can encounter in the wetland are Steltkluut, Kluut, Witkopeend, Casarca, Bergeend, Tafeleend, Wintertaling, Alpengierzwaluw and Sporenkievit.
