Reputedly 192 species visit the area and wetlands around the village of Gökova, mostly on migration. That includes 5 species of lark, 4 of wheatear, vagrant falcons. 60 species breed including Spotvogel and Grote Karekiet. Also Smyrnaijsvogel can be spotted. Wintering wildfowl such as Wintertaling, Pijlstaart and Roodhalsgans. Boat trips available along the river and coastline. All seasons good except in summer heat.
