Beschrijving
Sjötorpasjön is a good place to see wetland birds during much of the year. The surroundings (deciduous forests and farmland) are also interesting. Among the breeders are Fuut, Knobbelzwaan, Bruine Kiekendief and in some years Roerdomp,Roodhalsfuut and Baardman. Other breeders in the neighbourhood are Rode Wouw , Kleine Bonte Specht, Staartmees and Spotvogel. During migration periods large flocks of Grauwe Gans , Grote Canadese Gans , Wilde Eend and Wintertaling stay at the lake, often including the odd duck or goose species.
From the birding tower you may see several raptors, especially Buizerd, Ruigpootbuizerd, Rode Wouw, Zwarte Wouw, Visarend and Zeearend.
