The final part of Nyköpingsån river flows through the city of Nyköping. Along the river there is a very good walking path on both sides. Mostly functionally adapted. The best time to visit is during autumn, winter and spring. In the part from the harbor basin and upstream to Korsbron, there is no ice for the most part in winter and can Grote Zaagbek, Kuifeend and Brilduiker be observed. On the river's edge Blauwe Reiger are often standing. At the rapids you can find Waterspreeuw and IJsvogel. On the stretch from Folkunga Bridge to Storhusfallet, there is also a point for Waterspreeuw, IJsvogel and Grote Gele Kwikstaart. From Storhusfallet to Stadsbron are mostly Wilde Eend, Kuifeend and Brilduiker. In the spring, the harbor basin is one of the places where the first Kokmeeuw, Visdief and other gulls and terns appear.
