Beschrijving

Linsellsjön is a lake surrounded by forest and is nice for a short stop if you are in the area or pass by. The lake has a number of boulders and small islands. As the lake is rich in fish you can often observe Parelduiker, Visarend and terns. The season begins in April with Wilde Zwaan, Middelste Zaagbek, Parelduiker, Goudplevier and Groenpootruiter. In May, more ducks such as Smient, Wintertaling, Zwarte Zee-eend and, with a bit of luck Roodkeelduiker can be found then. More waders stop by, such as Groenpootruiter and Witgat. Gulls and terns are also arriving. In July, waders can be seen on their autumn migration, including Temmincks Strandloper and Groenpootruiter. Otherwise, it is divers and various water birds that stay throughout the summer, even Dwergmeeuw have been seen.

Toegang

Linsellsjön is located on road 84, 27 km northwest of Sveg or 4 km east of Linsell. The Linsellsjön bathing area is signposted from the road. After about 250 metres you reach the car park and from there you can see the lake. If there are bathers on the beach, walk towards the headland on the right, past the summer cottage. There you can see large parts of the lake without being disturbed by bathers.
