Beschrijving
The Lillfjärden lake is primarily known for its geese. Brandgans, Grauwe Gans, and Grote Canadese Gans all breed. The lake also holds the entire swedish non-breeding population of Dwerggans. Other geese like Kolgans, Taigarietgans, Kleine Rietgans can often be found. Some years Toendrarietgans and Rotgans are also found during migration periods.
The lakes rocky coast is also often home to waders like Zwarte Ruiter, Tureluur, Kleine Plevier (breeds), Scholekster (breeds), and Kemphaan. The lake holds large amounts of Wilde Eend and smaller amounts of other dabbling ducks. Even species which are rare in northern areas like Krakeend, Slobeend and Zomertaling. Smaller amounts of diving ducks can often be found. Wintering Pestvogel and Haakbek are often found. Although the numbers vary widely.

The lake lies directly north to the center of Hudiksvall. There are many places to park the car. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can make a circular walk around the lake (2,5 km).
