From the picturesque Puerto de Carril, you can see the nearby Isla de Cortegada. Birds like Grote Stern and seagulls often rest on the wooden stakes from the dock. It is not uncommon to see Grote Mantelmeeuw and Kleine Mantelmeeuw. The most frequent are Geelpootmeeuw and Kokmeeuw. You can also see Drieteenmeeuw and Zwartkopmeeuw. Also Jan-van-gent. The frequency of Kuifaalscholver and Alcidae like Zeekoet, Alk or shearwaters makes the place a special place. The terrestrial birdlife is much less interesting, although it does add species to the watch list.

Desde el muelle, sobre las estacas de madera, suelen descansar aves como Grote Stern y gaviotas. No es raro ver Grote Mantelmeeuw y Kleine Mantelmeeuw. Las más frecuentes son Geelpootmeeuw y Kokmeeuw. Pueden verse Drieteenmeeuw y Zwartkopmeeuw. También el Jan-van-gent. La frecuencia de Kuifaalscholver y álcidos como Zeekoet, Alk o pardelas hace del lugar un sitio especial. La isla mantiene formación boscosa con gran número de laureles. La avifauna terrestre es mucho menos interesante, aunque aporta especies a la lista de observación.
