Beschrijving
The small Puebla campsite is situated on the Embalse de José Torán. This reservoir is located on the bird migration route to Tarifa. As spring progresses, a large part of the reservoir dries up, allowing you to make beautiful walks inside the reservoir. Especially during the autumn migration the (empty) reservoir is visited by hundreds of Bontbekplevier and Kleine Plevier, 3 species of Gele Kwikstaart, countless Roodstuitzwaluw, as well as Rotszwaluw, Huiszwaluw, Oeverzwaluw and Boerenzwaluw. Hop can be seen in large numbers. Grijze Wouw hunts every day, often with 2 or 3 individuals.
In spring and summer the campsite has breeding Grauwe Klauwier, Zwarte Roodstaart, Gekraagde Roodstaart, Bonte Vliegenvanger, Grauwe Vliegenvanger, Iberische Klapekster, Spaanse Mus, 4 species of tits, Grote Bonte Specht, Kleine Bonte Specht and Groene Specht. The Spaanse Keizerarend and Vale Gier breed in the vicinity of the campsite. Slangenarend, Dwergarend and Visarend are also frequently seen, as are Zwarte Wouw and Rode Wouw.
Located between Seville and Cordoba, the small campsite is an excellent place to stay surrounded by nature. There are a huge variety of birds to spot on and around the campsite. If you stay for a few days, you can easily see 80 species of birds up close.
