Paraje Natural Laguna Grande is a small oasis on the migratory route of birds. It is a semi-permanent freshwater reservoir with a maximum depth of 4 meters and marked seasonal water level variations. Thanks to the maintenance of water throughout the year, especially in summer, this wetland is especially important for waterfowl, since the natural lagoons of the province are dry and in the lagoon they find food and shelter. Among the birds you can see are Tafeleend, Krooneend, Dodaars, Geoorde Fuut, Zomertortel, Steltkluut, Kleine Plevier, Kwak, Zwarte Ibis, Moorse Nachtzwaluw, Bruine Kiekendief, Dwergooruil, Blauwe Ekster and Wielewaal.

Cuenta con 18 hectáreas de extensión en su lámina de agua y 206 ha. en todo el Paraje Natural.
