Molino del Comendador is an old mill, one of the many along the Guadiana river. This birding area is a backwater of the Guadiana before joining the river Bullaque, forming islets, with arboreal and marsh vegetation. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Rode Patrijs, Dodaars, Zomertortel, Kuifkoekoek, Koekoek, Waterral, Woudaap, Purperreiger, Kleine Zilverreiger, Kwak, Woudaap, Monniksgier, Dwergarend, Hop, IJsvogel, Bijeneter, Draaihals, Kleine Bonte Specht, Blauwe Ekster, Grote Karekiet, Snor, Nachtegaal, Bonte Vliegenvanger and Cirlgors.
