Laguna del Toro is a quiet and secluded place. If you travel on the highway you can take a break here and do some nice birding. Another way to access the lagoon is through the small town of Nueva Jarilla, along a dirt road. Among the birds you can see here are Meerkoet, Waterhoen, Vorkstaartplevier, Lachstern, Tafeleend, Kuifleeuwerik, Geelpootmeeuw, Dodaars, , Turkse Tortel, Zomertortel, Blauwe Reiger, Zwarte Ibis, Kleine Plevier.
