Embalse de la Tabla is a small reservoir in a quiet rural area southwest of the city of León. The surroundings are open countryside with farmland, and gentle hills typical of the León region. Birds you can observe depending on the time of year and the water level in the reservoir include Hop, Bijeneter, Kuifleeuwerik, Nachtegaal, Cirlgors, Ooievaar, Blauwe Reiger, Kleine Zilverreiger, Grote Zilverreiger, Kuifkoekoek, Bruine Kiekendief, Visarend, Slangenarend, Kokmeeuw, Casarca, Dodaars, Steltkluut, Bontbekplevier, and Watersnip.
