Centro de Interpretación el Portillo is a visitor center with easy access. What stands out the most is that it is surrounded by a botanical garden with an excellent area of pine forests, ideal for endemic species such as Blauwe Vink, Kleine Zwartkop (ssp leucogastra), Tenerifepimpelmees or Vink (ssp canariensis).

Espagnol: El centro de interpretación del Portillo se ubica a los pies del Teide, el centro de visitantes es gratutito y los alrededores son excelentes para pajarear. Se trata de un área de acceso sencillo, sin ningún tipo de dificultad. Lo que más destaca es que está rodeada de un jardin botánico con una excelente zona de pinares, ideal para especies endémicas como el Blauwe Vink , Kleine Zwartkop (ssp leucogastra), Tenerifepimpelmees o Vink (ssp canariensis).

The visitor center is close to the Teide volcano and has a free parking lot. It is best to walk around and explore the area. You can explore the botanical garden, but it is also very nice to explore the path on the back side in the direction of the Teide (you have to go through a swing gate) and gives a wonderful view of the volcano.

Espagnol: Para llegar hasta ahí hay un parking muy amplio donde se puede aparcar. Lo mejor es recorrer la zona caminando ya que se trata de un recorrido muy corto.
