The fountain near Área Recreativa Conejeras is one of the few water points throughout the year in this mountain area. The birds use the fountain near the recreational area as one of the main points to drink in the Sierra. Practically any day is good to sit a few meters from the source and wait for everything to arrive.
On the walk from the parking to the fountain you can usually see Iberische Klapekster all year round and in spring and during migration many Gekraagde Roodstaart as well as possible but rare Paapje and Ortolaan as notable species. Among the birds you can spot near the fountain are Baardgrasmus, Kleine Zwartkop, Beflijster, Grote Lijster, Koperwiek, Zanglijster, Kramsvogel, Boomleeuwerik, Zwarte Roodstaart, Iberische Tjiftjaf, Keep, Vuurgoudhaan, Kruisbek, Roodborsttapuit, Appelvink, Grijze Gors, Grauwe Gors and Cirlgors.

Espagnol: Al haber pocos puntos de agua constante durante todo el año en la sierra, las aves han tomado la fuente del área recreativa como uno de los principales puntos para beber y comer en la Sierra, por lo que prácticamente cualquier día es bueno para sentarse a unos metros de la fuente y esperar a todo lo que e llegue. Además es una buena manera de recorrer la explanada anterior que donde suele poder observarse Alcaudon Real caso todo el año y en primavera y pasos migratorios, muchos colirrojos reales, asi como posible pero escasas tarabilla norteña y/o escribano hortelano como especies destacables.

Área Recreativa Conejeras is loacted 12 km south of the city of Ronda. From Ronda take the San Pedro A397 road. Once you pass Restaurant el Navasillo, approximately 1 km to the left is the indicated entrance. Click on the P in the map for directions. Note: It is advisable to leave the car in the parking lot of the recreational area and walk to the surroundings of the fountain because you can get a penalty if you park in the parking lot next to the fountain.

Espagnol: Desde Ronda por la carretera de San Pedro A397, una vez pasadaño el Restaueante el Navasillo aproximadamente 1km a la izquierda está la entrada indicada. Aconsejable dejar el coche en el parking del area recreativa e ir andado hasta los alrededores de la fuente bajo el Nogal ya que a veces los Agentes de medio ambiente, deciden llamar la atención incluso advertir con sanción si se aparca en el parking junto a la fuente.
