Beschrijving

Hrhovské Rybníky is located in the valley between two karst plateaus and is fed by the local river. The area consists of a large pond and a smaller pond next to each other and several smaller ponds at the back of the area. At the edges of the ponds there are old poplars, reed beds and a wide strip of bushes. On both sides of the large pond there is a bird watching platform. The trees are home to a colony of Blauwe Reiger with 20-40 pairs. Other birds that breed here include Fuut, Bruine Kiekendief and Zeearend.
