Ribeira de Atenor is a fantastic place to watch birds without the need to walk a lot. The mix of agricultural fields, wooded patches and wetland areas with reed beds attracts many different species of birds. Among the birds you can see are Waterhoen, Waterral, Kleine Karekiet, Cetti's Zanger, Zomertortel, Koekoek, Aasgier, Vale Gier, Dwergarend, Rode Wouw, Wielewaal, Blauwe Ekster and others.
