Żwirownia Brzegi has a large colony of Kokmeeuw on the island, and Dwergstern and Visdief also nest there. The terrain is varied: shrubs, grasses, deciduous trees, ponds. Among the other birds you can encounter are Nijlgans, Torenvalk, Grote Zaagbek, Grote Karekiet, Geoorde Fuut and Goudvink.
