Beschrijving
You can explore the entire Veines peninsula and also the platform over the sea where several bird species can be observed, including Zwarte Zeekoet, Aalscholver, Kuifaalscholver, Visdief, Noordse Stern and gulls. Some shore birds as Bontbekplevier or Paarse Strandloper can be observed all summer, and Scholekster may nest on the beach during summer there. Inland you can spot Goudplevier, Kemphaan, Velduil, Zeearend and Ruigpootbuizerd.
Water birds as Eider and Middelste Zaagbek and also a diversity of small birds as Blauwborst, Sneeuwgors, Groenling, Matkop, Barmsijs and Witte Kwikstaart contribute to the very interesting diversity. In fact all parts of the peninsula are good for birding.
