Beschrijving
Trettøya is a wet forest area along the river Orkla with a small seasonal lagoon. It is a breeding area for many passerines. Some waders also, like Scholekster, Oeverloper, Groenpootruiter and Tureluur. Also a chance on feeding Kraanvogel. Kleine Plevier breed in the area. Other birds you can encounter are Tuinfluiter, Rietzanger, Spotvogel, Slobeend, Krakeend, Meerkoet, Brilduiker and Wintertaling.

There is a rough gravel road crossing a metalled bridge from the County road. Several parking possibilities. Click on a P in the map to get directions to that point. Observe salmon fishing in the river from June 1st to August 31st. Can cause some traffic and disturbances. No public transport, so bicycle from nearby communities or by car is mandatory. Occasionally and partly flooded.
