The population of the threatened Heremietibis is luckily increasing again in Morocco, thanks to good protection. In this area near Tifnit you have a very good chance to see them. Sometimes the Heremietibis can sit surprisingly close and are not shy. Especially when you use your car as a hide you can observe them well.
Along the Tifnit coast and beach you can also see several other coastal birds. For example Bontbekplevier, Regenwulp, Steenloper, Drieteenstrandloper, Audouins Meeuw, and above sea Jan-van-gent and Grote Stern.
