Oasi Alberone is a protected wetland, with a pier that crosses the reeds. Different species of birds nest here, for example Waterral. Information panels and an ornithological observatory make the area attractive for birdwatching. Among the birds you can encounter are Blauwe Reiger, Grote Zilverreiger, Kleine Zilverreiger, Woudaap, Bruine Kiekendief, Dodaars, Waterral, Fuut, Tafeleend, Kuifeend, Witoogeend, Wintertaling, Zwarte Wouw, Grote Bonte Specht, Zwarte Specht, Cetti's Zanger, Vuurgoudhaan and Grote Karekiet.
