Lago del Capitano is a very secluded pond, where many species of ducks and herons can be seen. Some unexpected encounters are possible due to the low frequentation of the area. Among the birds you can see are Krakeend, Slobeend, Wintertaling, Rode Patrijs, Ooievaar, Purperreiger, Grote Zilverreiger, Koereiger, Kwak and Heilige Ibis.
