The KM 19 pool is famous for its Lichtensteins Zandhoen that come in to drink at dusk. The pool is also good for ducks, herons and waders. Among the birds that can be seen are Zomertaling, Pijlstaart, Sporenkievit, Smyrnaijsvogel, Maskerklauwier, Flamingo, Witoogeend, Kleine Groene Bijeneter, Steltkluut, Kemphaan, Groenpootruiter, Lepelaar, Dunbekmeeuw, Reuzenstern, Bruine Kiekendief, Purperreiger, Kwak and Woudaap. The ponds are located 19 km north of Eilat. Come off Route 90 from the south, drive due east. Passable for all kinds of vehicles. Some parts may be muddy at times.
