Beschrijving
Jawaharnagar Forest Nursery is a patch of mixed woodland and garden on the edge of the Kho-Nagorian Hills in Jaipur City. Right through the year, it acts as a lovely refuge for all sorts of migratory passerines, not to mention resident birds. Given the safe and mixed ecotones available the birdcount, despite being in the city is significant. Resident species include Baya Weaver, Plum-headed Parakeet, Indian Grey Hornbill, Yellow-footed Green-Pigeon, Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, Spotted Owlet, Small Minivet and Indian Peafowl.
Migrant species that have been sighted/photographed here include Indian Golden Oriole, Indian Paradise Flycatcher, Marshall's Iora, White-bellied Minivet, Sulphur-bellied Warbler, Verditer Flycatcher, Grey-headed Bunting, Black-winged Kite, Rosy Starling, Common Wryneck, Grey-bellied Cuckoo, Common Hawk Cuckoo, Eurasian Cuckoo, Black Redstart and more.
