Park the car at the southern side of Skala Katerinis/ Olympiaki Akti and follow the beach southwards. Species that can be found here are Grauwe Gors, Griel and Bijeneter. Reaching the river mouth, species that can be expected are Steltkluut, Kwak, Zwarte Ibis, Purperreiger, Dwergaalscholver, Zwartkopmeeuw and Dunbekmeeuw.
On the way back it might be worth to do a detour and follow the river upstream and after a while turn northwards.
