More than 100 bird species have been seen in Levadi marsh . On one side this semi-flooded marsh area is bordered by the sea. A road to a quarry runs on one side along from the sea and on the other side the marsh is overlooked by a hillside. The small wetland attracts wading birds such as Kleine Zilverreiger, Grote Zilverreiger, Ralreiger and Wintertaling. Also IJsvogel can be seen. The surrounding reeded pools, scrubland and fir trees also attract tits, finches, Bruine Kiekendief and Kleine Zwartkop. It’s also common to see Bijeneter and buzzards and eagles in this area.
