Beschrijving
The Ruppersdorfer See is especially good for ducks, geese and herons throughout the year. It´s one of the best breeding sites for Geoorde Fuut with sometimes up to 25 pairs. Each day Zeearend turn up and Kraanvogel overnight especially in autumn in good numbers. Different management is needed for waders so the place is only good for them when the water level is low. You should visit the site in the morning as the light conditions are poor later.

By car. Turn of the Autobahn A1 at Ratekau. Entering Ratekau you turn right towards Ruppersdorf. Park on the main road. It´s a very short walk into the area.
